The BIBLE is the single authority for the Word of GOD. It is inspired by GOD and, as such, is infallible and true. It is from the BIBLE that we gain knowledge, wisdom and understanding of all truths to which we as a church adhere. It is the BIBLE that is given to us for the purposes of teaching, rebuking, correcting and training unto righteousness. The unifying theme of Scripture is the revelation of JESUS THE CHRIST and His establishment of the KINGDOM OF GOD. We base our faith on the following truths that have been found in our study of Holy Scripture.

GOD is the ONE TRUE GOD and the FATHER of all men, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, having existed for all time, having neither a beginning nor an end. He is the one whom we worship and obey. Because we cannot be perfect as He is, God has provided a plan for our salvation. That plan is JESUS CHRIST, His Son. GOD sustains all things and participates actively in the events of today.

GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT is the power and might by which GOD reveals Himself on Earth. His HOLY SPIRIT works through people and events to perform miracles and testify to the Power and Glory of GOD Almighty. It is by His HOLY SPIRIT that GOD counsels us and convicts us to repent of sin. GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT is given to each believer upon conversion and equips believers with spiritual gifts for the work of ministry. GOD sent His HOLY SPIRIT to be our Comforter until the time of JESUS’ return to this Earth.

JESUS THE CHRIST is the only begotten Son of GOD and is our Lord and Savior. He was conceived by GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT and born of a virgin woman. He accepted His FATHER’S plan of salvation for mankind which was accomplished by dying on the cross and descending into the Grave (Hades, Sheol). He was in the Grave for three days, after which He was raised from death by GOD’S HOLY SPIRIT. After 40 days, He ascended into Heaven where He now sits at the right hand of GOD and mediates on behalf of all believers. CHRIST will soon return to judge both the living and the dead and to establish the KINGDOM OF GOD here on Earth.

FORGIVENESS OF SINS is possible only through the Grace of GOD. JESUS CHRIST, the sinless Son of GOD, was sent into the world to be a sacrifice to make amends for the sins of man. No other mortal sacrifice could ever be sufficient. Belief in JESUS CHRIST as your Savior is vital, as He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and He is the only way to the FATHER.

BAPTISM by immersion in water is an act of obedience by which one may declare his belief in CHRIST as Lord and Savior. It symbolizes the belief that CHRIST died for our sins and was resurrected. Baptism by immersion is an illustration of the death of the believer’s old nature and his rebirth in newness of life in CHRIST. Baptism must be preceded by repentance of one’s sins and confession of faith in Christ Jesus.

The RESURRECTION of the body occurs after the first death. Natural man is subject to death, which is when the body returns to dust and the Breath of Life returns to GOD - the one who gave it. Man remains in the grave and sleeps without waking until CHRIST’S return. At the RESURRECTION, all believers will be raised into new immortal and perfect bodies to meet CHRIST in the air. JESUS is the only one to have experienced the RESURRECTION and is the Firstborn of the Family of GOD.

The CHURCH is the fellowship of believers, baptized into CHRIST, that comes together for mutual edification, scriptural study, communion and the corporate worship of our LORD GOD. The CHURCH is the Body of CHRIST and is charged to take the Good News of JESUS CHRIST to the rest of the world.

The KINGDOM OF GOD is the reestablishment of GOD’S rule on earth among HIS people. Those who are dead in CHRIST will be transformed and join with the living to meet Him in the air. CHRIST will reign on earth for 1,000 years in preparation for GOD’S KINGDOM, after which there will be the final judgment of all mankind. This is when the faithful in CHRIST will realize their reward of Everlasting Life. The present Heavens & Earth will pass away and be made new, and we will live forever, with CHRIST in perfect bodies, as priests of GOD in HIS KINGDOM.

The CHURCH OF GOD OF THE ABRAHAMIC FAITH is the group of believers that hold to the truth that Abraham is the Father of the Hebrews and also the Patriarch of the Christian Church. Abraham demonstrated his Faith in action and was granted the promise of the KINGDOM OF GOD. And we, through our similar faith in CHRIST JESUS, are joint heirs to that inheritance of the KINGDOM.
